The very first academic establishment in the UK, providing professional training in Marmapuncture (Ayurvedic Acupuncture).
This site is also home to the British Association of Marmapuncture, a regulatory body ensuring the safe practice and conduct of all qualified and registered Marmapuncturists who have undergone training with us.
What is Marmapuncture?
Marmapuncture is is the ancient Ayurvedic method of using needles (suchis) at specific points (nadis) to elicit a therapeutic response. This system based on Ayurvedic Medicine has been practiced for thousands of years in India and later outside India (Sri Lanka and Tibet).
This system of healing has been mentioned in many ancient texts (Suchi-Veda – Science of Needling), and has been practiced by the ancient surgical school of Sushruta and written about in the Sushruta Samhita over 25,000 years ago.
How Does it Work?
Ayurvedic medical theory (Prana, Tridosha, Trigunas, 5 Elements and ayurvedic diagnostic methods) are used to select points on the skin based on an individuals presenting complaint (vikruti) and the patients individual constitution (prakruti) to achieve balance and restore health.

Clinical Training
- Supervised 3 months clinical experience at The Little Buckingham Clinic developing case history presentation, group work, diagnostic skills, clinical examination skills and marmapuncture techniques.
- Learning bedside manner and developing your therapeutic relationships.

- Reflective study & developing your own self practice for health and wellbeing to enhance your treatments and fortify your career as Marmapuncturists.
